PTO
Mission StatementThe purpose of the Lake Street Elementary PTO is to promote the welfare of the students of Lake Street Elementary in their homes, at school, and in the community. Our goal is to develop a relationship between home and school, so parents and teachers may cooperate in the educating of the students. PTO works annually to help raise funds to provide additional benefits otherwise unavailable to students and/or staff along with fun activities to build memories and legacies at Lake Street Elementary.

Why Is The PTO So Important?
Our Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) continues to be a great way for parents to learn about and be involved in their children’s everyday experience at Lake Street Elementary.
PTO hosts general information meetings monthly in the school library. Exact dates can be found on the Events Calendar, but are usually the second Tuesday of the month at 4:00. Free babysitting is provided for children during our meeting in the cafeteria.
Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We have many committees to ensure events are entertaining and successful. We have two main types of volunteers for our events. Planning team volunteers work together to divvy up tasks in order to plan and pull off an event. Regular event volunteers are able to give time during the event and take their duty instructions from the planning team. If you are not sure how to get started, sign up with a board member to be a general volunteer or a member of the pot luck committee. None of our events could be successful without our volunteers.
